After Hurricane Harvey, large amounts of pooled water remain throughout areas of Fort Bend County. These areas with flood water are the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes. To reduce the mosquito population, Fort Bend County is actively working to control the mosquito population through adulticide and larvacide operations at Road and Bridge.
Road and Bridge is currently spraying areas that were heavily impacted by Hurricane Harvey and is also using mosquito dunks in areas where water is still pooled.
Road and Bridge is closely monitoring the mosquito population in the County as floodwaters begin to recede. For more information regarding mosquito management efforts contact (281) 342-4513.
